Other groups and activities, that we know of, in the library
A group for young mothers meeting regularly every Wednesday morning (10:00 ~11:30) in the library. This has proved a very popular group and there is now a waiting list for membership.
A group for people who enjoy reading and discussing books. This has proved a very popular group and there is now a waiting list for membership.
We do not know everything that is going on in the library, but here is a list of what we are aware of. Hopefully we will be able to put more information here as and when we get it.
If you need any more information, please visit the library and ask the staff for more details.
A small group of local people who enjoy a friendly game of scrabble, meeting once a month, normally on the second Tuesday of the month between 14:00 and 16:00, in the library.
Sociable Stitchers (formally Knit and Natter)
A group of local people who meet once a month, normally on the third Thursday of the month between 13:45 and 15:45, in the library.
Please bring along your current project, be it knitting, patchwork, embroidery or any other craft and enjoy a social afternoon.
Free easy parking and refreshments available.
A new group has recently formed to look at local history in and around Mickleover. This group was formed after the interesting talk give by Jane James to the MLUG in January 2011.

A group of local carers who meet once a month, normally on the second Monday of the month between 14:00 and 16:00, in the library. (Click on the blue icon to see their poster).
This started off with a small number of people attending but has grown steadily. Come along for support and and a chat.
